Born in New Orleans, LA and growing up in Katy, TX, Laura was raised with an appreciation for really great food! After high school, she attended Texas A&M University and graduated in 2009 with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences. After A&M, she matched at Texas Woman's University for her 18 month dietetic internship, and also worked towards a Masters in Nutrition. After graduating with her Masters and passing her Registered Dietician exam in 2011, she began working at Houston Methodist Hospital as a clinical dietitian. She met her husband at Texas A&M and have been married for 11 years. They have 2 adorable boys. As a family, they enjoy traveling, spending time outside, and of course, watching the Aggies and Astros! She is very excited for the opportunity to work as the registered dietitian for ALC as wellness, prevention of disease and educating others on nutrition are professional passions of hers.
